1. What is Home Guard Organization?

 Home Guard Organization is a Honorary Organization in which any Indian self-employed citizen can get a part of Organization as a Volunteer.  

2.How a citizen become aHome Guard Volunteer?

Any Indian self-employed citizen aged between 21 to 55 and having qualification of minimum 10thclass may become a volunteer.

3. Describe the physical fitness required to become a Home Guard volunteer?

 Home Guard Volunteer should be mentally and physically fit.
Details for male and female are as follows:

  • Height- 160 cm for male and 150 cm for female.

  • Chest- 80 cm [4 cm with expansion] [For female no minimum requirement for chest measurement.]

  • Eyesight- far site vision 6/6, near vision 0.6/0.6
  • Free from knock knee and flat foot and should be able to run 1 km in 6 minutes.



4. Facility To Home Guard –

5% reservation placed for Home Guard in recruitment of Police Constable/Fireman/Forest Guard in Government Department. Home Guard must have completed 3 years with active role in organisation.
